In order to quickly identify Toughbooks from one another, Vandernet will be painting the plastic on the top edges (currently black) different colors. They report people’s frustration with having to turn the TB on to see if it is a sup, ESO, or Nav PC. The color coding will make them easily identifiable at a glance.
The color scheme is as follows:
- Black (not painted) for ESO TBs. These are the ones that are most often moved around due to breakage etc. so they will remain the same.
- Blue for Shift Captain TBs. These are loaded with ESO and Nav.
- Yellow for Navigator TBs.
This will be happening immediately.
