TCAD is one of the fastest growing Districts in the state with a wide area of coverage that is around 620 square miles, with over 42,000 residents and over 7 million visitors a year. TCAD administrator was voted administrator of the year for 2000 and Service of the Year for 1996 and 2003 by the Missouri Emergency Medical Services Association.

On January 15, 2008 TCAD Completed its 32nd year of service to Taney County residents and visitors. A few of the many accomplishments along the way have been that our call volume has increased from 900 calls a year in 1976 to over 8500 calls this past year. We Provide safety & prevention programs to local schools several times a year. TCAD provides on-scene medical care for many large events in our community.

Along with these achievements, we offer many services to the community. TCAD is the official EMS service for the Men's NAIA Division II Tournament. First Responder education is provided to all fire departments. TCAD developed the Heart-Safe Community program, and our Public Access Defibrillation program with more than 80 AEDs distributed throughout Taney County. The ambulance district started in 1976 with 6 employees and two stations, one in Forsyth with one on-call crew and another station in Branson with one on-call crew. The crews would answer the ambulance phone at home and then drive to the ambulance office in their private vehicle to pick up the ambulance to respond to an emergency. In 2007 we have a total of 64 full time employees including, paramedics, EMTs, dispatchers, office staff and over 20 part time employees. We have a 24-hour dispatch center with 2 dispatchers on duty each shift. We now have four stations, one education building, and multiple staging areas.
