Due to the growth of Taney County and the increase of calls per year, TCAD is continually accepting applications for Paramedics, EMTs, and Dispatchers. Below are the qualifications for each position.

Paramedics (EMT-P)

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree encouraged. Possess valid Missouri Drivers License. Possess valid Missouri Paramedic License. Maintains current Health Care Provider CPR card or equivalent, ACLS certification and PALS certification. Obtains D.O.T. 16 hour driving course (provided by TCAD). Has BTLS (Advanced) and 9 or 12 Lead certification. Has auto extrication experience. Has good interpersonal communications skills.

Primary Functions: Responds to emergency and non-emergency calls and routine transfers, performing basic and advanced life support procedures. Maintains ambulance and duty station in a neat and orderly fashion. Performs directives as assigned by the Duty Supervisors, to whom this position reports. Works on an as-needed basis.

Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree encouraged. Possess valid Missouri Drivers License. Possess valid Missouri EMT License. Maintains current Health Care Provider CPR card or equivalent. Obtains D.O.T. 16 hour driving course (provided by TCAD). Has BTLS (Basic) certification and auto extrication experience. Has good interpersonal communications skills.

Emergency Medical Communicators

Minimum Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Possess valid Missouri Drivers License.

Preferred Qualifications: Possess valid Missouri EMT License. Maintains current Health Care Provider CPR card or equivalent and EMD certification. Obtains D.O.T. 16 hour driving course (provided by TCAD). Has BTLS (Basic) certification and auto extrication experience. Has good interpersonal communications skills. Knowledge of the Branson area preferred, college for at least 2 years.

Primary Functions: Answers emergency and non-emergency telephone lines and enhanced 911 system. Collects necessary information for dispatch and documentation of emergency and non-emergency medical and rescue calls, including request for mutual aid from area agencies. Issues appropriate pre-arrival instructions for patient care. Maintains work area in a neat and orderly fashion. Performs special projects as assigned by the Communications Supervisor, to whom this position reports.
