2003 Emergency Medical Service of the Year

Operations Department

Our mission is to provide the highest quality of emergency medical care to the residence and visitors of Taney County with consistent growth to meet the county’s needs as resources allow.  To meet our mission we provide a wide range of services.

We maintain a fleet of twelve ambulances stationed at four stations and multiple staging points throughout the county.  Our ambulances are equipped with some of the most advanced medical equipment available for the prehospital setting.  With the addition of a computer-aided dispatch system, our ambulances have been outfitted with Mobile Data Terminals, which provided wireless communication with the communication center as well as the other ambulances.  These also provide GPS tracking and locating to provide the quickest, appropriate response for every emergency.

Under the direction of our medical director Dr. L.E. Mire, MD, TCAD is able to provide a high level of care due to our aggressive standing-order treatment protocols, and our use of new equipment.  TCAD tries to stay on the cutting edge of EMS by constantly reviewing and updating treatment protocols and procedures as new equipment and information come about.
